Under the leadership of the current chairman with nearly 50 years experience in this family business the company grew in to a huge entity and was made a Private Limited Liability Company in year 2002.
Allied Trading International (PVT) Ltd is the pioneer pipeline company in Sri Lanka with nearly 90 years of service to the nation specializing in pipes, fittings, valves and accessories made of seamless carbon steel, ductile iron, cast iron, cast steel, forged steel, galvanized & steam (BI) ERW steel pipes and malleable iron pipe, fittings, HDPE, PPR, cPVC, uPVC, Stainless Steel, Brass, Gunmetal (Bronze),etc. and is referred as a ‘place none to match in this field’. The Company has also started a new section handling Leak detection equipments and is one of the leading suppliers of iron castings such as manhole covers, Gully gratings, Surface boxes, etc. The Products are imported only from reputed high-end factories in Japan, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, Canada, China and India.
Almost all of company's Suppliers are market leaders in their own respective sectors and all of them are ISO9001:2015 / ISO 22000 TQM certified factories. They also have their products conformity certificates such as OIML, CE, UL, WRAS, SGS/BV/TUV/Crown Agents, etc.
Many of the products imported by the company also undergo the SLS inspection and thus also SLS certified and further some items are once again inspected & tested by SGS, BV, ITI, University of Moratuwa as well as NWS&DB testing laboratories for their Quality, Chemical properties and product endurance. Another advantage for customer' is the Warranty for the products sold by the company which carries from a minimum of 01 year warranty, 3 to 5 years as well as to amazing lifetime warranties against factory defects.
In order for our company to be more customer orientated we have two divisions as HVAC and WATER; At HVAC division we have products ranging from1/8” to 24” and at WATER division we have the size range from 15mm (1/2") to 2600mm (104"). We carry in-house stock from 1/8” to 24” for HVAC and 15mm (1/2") to 800mm (32") for WATER & SEWERAGE division pipeline materials thus making us the largest pipeline company in Sri Lanka with the widest range of pipeline materials.
We have supplied to many mega Government Infrastructure projects in collaboration with International construction companies. Some of our biggest projects being the Colombo Harbour Expansion Project, Hambantota Airport, The Colombo International Airport expansion project (katunauake), Hambantota Harbour, Colombo Port City Project, Greater Kandy WSP, Greater Kurunegala WSSP, Badulla, Hale Ella, Ella Integrated WSP, Kundasale WSP, Mahiyanganaya and Medirigiriya Water Supply Schemes, WASSIP, etc.
By July 2010 the company received the ISO 9001: 2008 TQM certification from both UKAS of England as well as ANAB of USA being audited by one of the world’s most recognized TQM institution’s Bureau Veritas (BV). The Certificate covered Allied Trading’ Office, Sales Outlet as well as Stores. Categorized for Importing, Sales, Marketing and Distribution of HVAC, WATER, Sewerage and all kinds of pipeline products such as Pipes, Fittings, Valves, Meters, Leak detection equipment, packing and Insulation. The ISO 9001:2015 TQM systems was reviewed and successfully renewed and extended.
We’re proud to claim that we have been supplying to National Water Supply & Drainage Board for almost 40 years; Prior to the board being formed we have been also supplying to its predecessor the WATER SUPPLY & DRAINAGE DIVISION which was under the Public Works Department in the 1960’s; later in mid 1960’ as MINISTRY OF LOCAL GOVENMENT under Ministry of Power, Irrigation & Highways, it was in 1975 the NWS&DB was established. We’re also one of the pioneer sponsors of the WORLD WATER DAY events in Sri Lanka declared by the United Nations (UN) in collaboration with Ministry of Water Supply & Drainage and National Water Supply & Drainage Board, since 2011 in collaboration with the Ministry City Planning & Water Supply and National Water Supply & Drainage Board.
